Working as part of the wider buying team, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing buying strategies, cultivating strong supplier relationships, and truly making this role your own in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Lead product management, focusing on sales growth, margin optimization, and inventory control.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring favourable terms and effective business planning.
* Source and develop high-quality, innovative products, overseeing the lifecycle from concept to market.
* Stay updated with market trends, pricing fluctuations, and new product innovations to ensure the best value and competitiveness.
* Develop seasonal and core product ranges, implement effective pricing strategies, and closely monitor competitor activity.
* Develop and manage purchasing budgets, tracking cost savings initiatives and monitoring financial performance.
* Provide regular reports on purchasing performance, supplier KPIs, cost savings, and market trends.
* Analyze procurement data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
What We’re Looking For:
* 3+ years' experience in buying or category management, with proven negotiation expertise
* Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Food Science, or a related discipline
* Proficient in Excel and experienced with SAP
* Previous experience in FMCG or retail is a strong advantage
