OverviewJoin to apply for the Apps Development Group Manager SVP role at Citi.The Applications Development Manager is part of the Issuer Services Technology senior management team reporting to the Director of Platform Modernization (ATIS). This role is responsible for managing a team or department to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology Team. The objective is to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities. The Issuer Services business has aggressive growth goals and has invested in technology to scale its operations. This role ensures project oversight and delivery of solutions to the Operations and Front Office businesses that are best in class and scalable.
Responsibilities

Manage multiple teams of staff and vendors/contractors to accomplish goals and conduct personnel duties (e.g., performance evaluations, mentoring, hiring, disciplinary actions).
Provide strategic influence and control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring delivery and end results.
Establish and maintain regular communications with senior stakeholders from the Business and Operations.
Drive strategic recombination of platforms and applications to align with Digital First and future state goals.
End-to-end staff and delivery management for critical application platforms used by Agency & Trust.
Utilize in-depth knowledge within own area to resolve issues and contribute to standards.
Coordinate with management across the organization to lead annual and mid-year resource and budget planning and ongoing financial reporting/reforecasting.
Work with the Global Office to provide accurate resource planning and hiring status to stakeholders and senior management.
Provide organizational and cultural change leadership and change management.
Provide evaluative judgement in complex and dynamic situations, drawing from internal and external sources.
Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions and communicate with external parties as necessary.
Assess risk in business decisions, safeguard Citi and assets, drive compliance with laws and regulations, escalate and report control issues, and supervise staff to maintain standards.

Qualifications

Senior development management experience leading a team of managers overseeing local and remote application development, project management, business analysis, and QA testing resources
Hands-on experience developing applications from requirements through maintenance (not limited to ERP/CRM/infrastructure)
Experience delivering software solutions using an Agile/iterative methodology
Expertise in governance, demand prioritization, and resource supply management for capacity planning and staffing across teams
Extensive experience leading large technology programs and delivery teams with budget and scheduling responsibilities in a matrixed environment
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Experience transforming to Agile methodologies and standardizing methodologies across departments
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
Proven track record of improving staff delivery performance and fostering high-performance environments
Hands-on leader with strategic and practical problem-solving abilities
Experience managing vendors through full lifecycle (RFPs, SOWs, contracts, financial management)
Ability to inspire and motivate staff at all levels toward delivery goals
Strong attention to detail and proactive leadership
Experience using JIRA is a plus
Hands-on IT role experience preferred
ITIL certification a plus
Experience in Banking/Financial Services or Professional Services/Management Consulting a plus
Experience leading transformational programs and global technology teams a plus

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science or a related field
Master’s degree preferred
