Cobalt are happy to share an exciting opportunity for an internal audit professional to join a growing financial services assurance team within a professional services environment. This role offers the chance to work with a varied client base, deliver high quality assurance and advisory work, and develop your expertise in a team that is continuing to invest and expand.

The role
Deliver internal audit and risk assurance assignments across financial services clients
Lead audit fieldwork and support the supervision of junior team members
Support planning activities including risk assessments scoping and audit programmes
Assess control design and test operating effectiveness across key processes
Produce clear reports with practical findings and recommendations
Build relationships with client stakeholders and support day to day engagement
Contribute to improving audit approaches templates and internal methodologies
Stay current on regulatory expectations and industry developments relevant to financial services
About you
2 to 5 years experience in internal audit or risk assurance within financial services
Exposure to EU or UK regulated environments is required
Working towards or already holding ACA ACCA CIA CAMS CISA or an equivalent qualification
Strong communication skills with a high standard of report writing
Organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Proactive mindset with an interest in building deeper financial services expertise
Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues is beneficial
Prior consulting or in house internal audit experience is a plus
