You will be working with senior technologists who will act as your mentors throughout your programme. As a Software Development Co-Op (Placement) Student, you will get involved with the development teams building cutting-edge technologies, evolving a stable, scalable, optimized environment with minimized risk. You will collaborate on live challenges with other developers and traders, learning how we solve real technical challenges of building and maintaining trading systems. This hands-on experience will help you develop valuable skills and expertise in software development. You will also join industry lectures to understand trading and the role technologists play at Susquehanna.
What We're Looking For
Technical Expertise: You have strong software development skills in any object-oriented language (C#, C++, Python). You should understand algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design patterns. Education: You are studying a STEM-related degree in an Irish university, and are required to do a work placement as part of your course requirements. Problem Solving: You use clear reasoning, are rational, and use numbers and data to come up with sensible solutions. Curiosity: You're eager to learn and develop new technologies. You're inquisitive and creative, questioning the status quo. Communication: You enjoy building relationships, sharing ideas, and listening to others. Ambition: You set goals and are willing to put in the effort to reach your full potential.
