Our client is a long-established, friendly, and respected IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) based in the South East of Ireland. They look after everything from servers and PCs to cloud-based applications for a wide range of local businesses. They now seek a capable, hands-on Support Engineer to join their growing team. If you enjoy solving problems, working directly with clients, and want to build a future in a supportive environment, we’d love to talk!
The Role
You’ll be working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm, primarily from our South East office but with regular on-site visits to local clients, so a full Irish driving licence is essential. This role would suit someone with strong hands-on experience who can resolve most support issues independently, while also knowing when to collaborate with senior engineers on more complex problems.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day IT support for business clients – remote and on-site.
Troubleshoot issues across cloud services (especially Microsoft 365 and Azure), PCs, networks, and servers.
Manage escalations from junior support engineers and handle more complex issues.
Working with cybersecurity tools such as firewalls, antivirus, EDR, and SOC platforms
Install and upgrade IT equipment, including on-site client setups.
Document fixes and maintain accurate client and internal records.
Work closely with our engineering team to deliver projects and improve service delivery.
What We’re Looking For
2–5 years' experience in IT support, ideally with some time in an MSP environment.
Confident troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Windows systems, and basic networking issues.
Experience with Microsoft Azure or a willingness to learn it on the job.
Previous experience of managing firewalls, and cyber security solutions
Strong problem-solving skills: Someone who takes ownership and gets things done.
Excellent communication skills: Clear, patient, and friendly with users.
Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel locally for support visits.
Nice to Have (But Not Dealbreakers)
Qualifications with firewalls, backup solutions, or cybersecurity tools.
Familiarity with MSP tools such as RMM or PSA platforms.
Any IT certifications (e.g. Microsoft, CompTIA) – but hands-on experience matters most.
What You Get
A varied role with lots of opportunities to grow and learn.
Support from a close-knit team that values knowledge-sharing and client care.
Exposure to modern cloud technologies and real-world IT projects.
A very competitive salary with paid overtime opportunities.
The chance to work with great local businesses and make a real difference.
Does it sound like you? Please feel free to apply and to get in touch with our friendly team!
