The Company:
We are exclusively representing a Tier One construction leader renowned for delivering some of the world's most complex and technically advanced data centre projects. With a significant and long-term pipeline of work in Ireland, they are now seeking a high-calibre Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team on a major new hyperscale data centre development in West Dublin.
The Role:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key player in the commercial success of this multi-million euro project. You will take full ownership of a package or section, working autonomously while contributing to the overall commercial strategy.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Managing the end-to-end commercial process for significant sub-contractor packages from procurement to final account.
* Preparing accurate cost valuations, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts.
* Identifying, pricing, and negotiating variations and change orders.
* Providing robust financial reporting and analysis to the Commercial Manager.
* Ensuring timely and accurate submission of client applications and subsequent payment chasing.
* Mentoring and supporting more junior members of the commercial team.
* Implementing and adhering to the company's stringent commercial procedures.
* Proactively identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
The Candidate:
To be successful in this high-profile role, you will need:
* A recognised degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* 8+ years' post-qualification experience with a main contractor.
* Proven experience on large-scale Data Centre, Pharmaceutical, or other mission-critical/industrial projects is essential.
* Demonstrable experience managing large sub-contractor packages (€5m+).
* Strong expertise in procurement, cost control, and final account negotiation.
* Excellent financial and commercial acumen.
* A proactive, diligent, and solution-focused mindset.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Proficiency with industry-standard software (e.g., Causal, etc.).
