Job Description
Our client, a leading national distributor of Internal Doors and Mouldings are currently recruiting for the position of Warehouse Manager to lead their warehouse team. This is a full time, onsite position.
As a Warehouse Manager, you will be Customer‑centric, responsible for managing their busy central distribution warehouse as well as additional storage facilities in the locality, whilst adhering to best practice in Health & Safety compliance.
You will have full responsibility of the daily operations of stock management and distribution while providing leadership and mentoring support to further develop their existing warehouse team focused on best customer service possible.
You will also be responsible for Health & Safety compliance.
Stock accuracy and attention to detail are key to ensuring we deliver consistent high level of customer service. You will be responsible for driving efficiency, process and continuous improvement to maintain and exceed established standards.
Key Responsibilities and are not limited to:
* Leadership & Mentoring.
* Manage the daily operations including resource planning, goods in, storage and order picking.
* Deliver efficiency and continuous improvement across all aspects of the role.
* Liaise with their Customer Service team and transport partners to ensure all orders are despatched on time.
* Managing physical inventory across multiple warehouses.
* Deliver stock accuracy through detailed management of all stock movements and continuous monitoring through cyclical stock counts.
* Health & Safety:
* Lead the H&S committee.
* Uphold company H&S statement.
* Keep up to date will latest industry standards.
* Maintain all staff H&S training records.
* Maintain service records and routine safety checks on all warehouse equipment
Requirements and are not limited to:
* 3 + years’ experience of logistics and managing a warehouse team in a fast‑paced environment.
* Excellent hands‑on leadership and communication skills.
* Problem solving and organisational skills.
* Ability to multi‑task and drive continuous improvement.
* Understanding of current Health & Safety regulations.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* A working knowledge of SAP is preferable, experience in other warehouse operating software is acceptable.
* Microsoft Excel.
