Role Overview
The role will be responsible for selling the ETHICON Surgery Portfolio, the EndoMech and/or Energy range in assigned territory.
It involves establishing the products as the preferred choice across hospitals, highlighting surgical outcomes, instrument quality, and clinical advantage.
The role also manages existing KOLs, includes new KOLs, and works closely with account managers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Sell the ETHICON range of Stapling and/or Energy medical devices across assigned territory.
Provide weekly and monthly sales action plans to line manager.
Analyze sales reports to identify opportunities, recognize routine problems, recommend solutions.
Negotiate and close sales in routine situations, with guidance for complex deals.
Own account management with total visibility of account sales across Surgery Portfolios.
Collaborate with specialist and commercial resources for coordinated account management.
Lead and assist with customer training activities (Centre's of Excellence, Preceptorships, In-services).
Partner with Professional Education Managers to develop KOL relationships and champion the Professional Education Offering.
Provide product management assistance and feedback to marketing.
Identify and communicate market intelligence on key accounts.
Stay updated on healthcare dynamics and trends to inform marketing strategy.
Qualifications
Proven track record of high achievement in medical sales or comparable high-achievement career; medical sales experience not essential.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to move business forward in a competitive OR environment.
Solid understanding of the hospital environment (HSE, NHS, private sector).
Commercial drive and acuity.
Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of presenting complex information.
Degree level education (business or science preferred but not required).
Ability to build strategic partnerships with key customers.
Entrepreneurial behaviour and customer-centric approach.
