Position: Education Coordinator
Contract: Full Time 12-month contract with a view to permanency (subject to funding)
Salary Range: €32,000 - €36,000 (dependent on experience)
Location: Remote (with attendance at events and meetings as required at GROW HQ, Waterford)

Since 2009, GIY has empowered over 6 million people to grow their own food through our programmes and educational initiatives.
GIY's vision for school food education is:

GROW at School is a structured, curriculum-aligned, garden-based food education programme that uses hands-on experiential learning to help children understand where food comes from and to foster food empathy - a deeper, more conscious relationship with food.
Position Summary
GIY is seeking a highly organised and motivated Education Coordinator to support the design, delivery, and evaluation of our school-based education programmes and campaigns. Working closely with the Head of Education, this role will play a key part in delivering high-impact educational initiatives that align with GIY's vision and values.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the design, delivery, and evaluation of GIY's school campaigns, programmes, and educational activities
* Work with a range of partners to deliver educational programmes from development through implementation to reporting
* Support the Head of Education across all aspects of educational delivery within GIY
Programme Coordination and Delivery
* Act as a primary point of contact for teachers, students, facilitators, and stakeholders, ensuring strong communication and relationship management
* Coordinate school recruitment and selection, including programme distribution and delivery logistics
* Participate in onsite educational visits to schools
* Support the development and delivery of GIY's Teacher Training Programmes
Communications and Campaign Support
* Develop and manage communications for education campaigns, including large-scale email campaigns, phone outreach, and targeted stakeholder engagement
* Support the scheduling and delivery of digital, PR, and marketing objectives for educational campaigns and programmes
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
* Manage programme and campaign KPIs, impact measurement, and reporting
* Support evaluation activities including surveys, focus groups, and one-to-one interviews
* Maintain project databases and accurate records for internal and external reporting
Resources and Materials
* Create, coordinate, and manage curriculum-supporting resources, assets, and educational materials
Skills & Qualifications
We are seeking an exceptional, experienced individual who shares GIY's culture, vision, and values. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management and/or experience working within the Irish education system, and will thrive in a busy, collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
* A minimum of two years' experience in project management, programme coordination, education, or a related field
* A relevant qualification or degree (e.g. Teacher Education Degree, PME) or equivalent work experience (preferred but not essential)
* Strong organisational skills with impeccable attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* A flexible, positive, energetic, and resourceful approach, with the maturity and confidence to succeed as part of a dynamic team
* A strong passion for food education, social enterprise, sustainability, and societal change, aligned with GIY's mission
* A collaborative team player who values integrity, respect, and shared purpose
Requirements
* The successful applicant is required to be resident in Ireland and eligible to work in Ireland.
* Access to own car with full clean driver's license
* Successful applicant will be required to undertake Garda Vetting with GIY.
