The role is for a Commercial Product Support Engineer, ideally located in Dublin, Ireland, with travel up to 60% globally. Join the expanding Engineering team in Swords, Co. Dublin, developing next generation IVD Immunoassay and Clinical Chemistry instruments.The Jobholder will lead, manage and investigate field escalations and complaints. Utilize systems, maintenance and troubleshooting expertise to resolve instrument issues in a timely manner either remotely or onsite. Work within a cross functional engineering and customer service team to improve customer experience.You will be part of a multidisciplinary Engineering group addressing complex problems to serve laboratories of all sizes.ResponsibilitiesLead investigations, manage and communicate progress to cross functional teamsTroubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on medical device instrumentationUse analytical tools to perform data analysis, identify system performance issues, establish trends and present dataTravel up to 60% on a global level (location near an international airport is advantageous)Apply solid Mechanical Engineering skills, preferably in a MedTech environmentCommunicate findings effectively to customers and managementWork self-directed with a customer-first approach and prioritize workload accordinglyCollaborate with Field Service at customer sites to investigate and resolve escalations (Field Service background beneficial)Understand workflows and operation of a clinical laboratoryRepresent the voice of the customer and address pain points with the businessRequired Qualifications and SkillsExcellent team player with cross-functional collaboration experienceHigh-paced, root-cause problem solver with timely resolution mindsetOwner mindset with accountability and responsibilityDrive and initiative with a patient-focused mindsetStrong manufacturing, mechanical/electromechanical/automation design skillsFocus on improving processes with user-centric thinkingAbility to travel on short notice based on business needsBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or Software) is required3+ years of relevant experienceUnderstanding of medical device regulationsLocation and TravelLocation: Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.
