Senior Electronics Engineer

The Research Centre Ireland (RCI) serves as a global Centre of Excellence, developing innovative technologies aimed at enhancing bioscience discovery and diagnostics, improving clinical diagnoses, and advancing patient care.
This pivotal role involves driving the development of brand-new products by providing high-quality solutions to complex engineering challenges. You will work on exciting projects from feasibility through to implementation, collaborating closely with teams representing different functions to ensure the successful delivery of products that meet industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Actively participate in new and existing product development efforts from concepts to implementation.
* Lead a team of electronic engineers to achieve project goals.
* Drive circuit-level hardware design phases, including architecture and design, component selection, schematic entry, board bring-up, and integration of sophisticated printed circuit board and cable assemblies into systems/instruments.
* Evaluate and implement designs to ensure that all agency requirements are being met throughout the design process.
* Apply tools like FMEA to resolve and detail the root cause of the product's system or component failure.
You will have experience with interfacing hardware peripherals, electrical drawing packages, and software. Additionally, you will support project teams in general activities related to ongoing product design & development, and generate design specifications, test protocols, complete testing, and associated test reports.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
* At least 4 years of experience as an Electronics Engineer designing and testing both analog and digital circuitry on sophisticated printed circuit board assemblies.
* Strong digital and analog circuit design background that includes microprocessors, analog circuitry for theoretical analysis circuit level, board level simulation, and experience with building blocks for modular systems.
