The role
Reporting to the EEA Deputy CUO, the primary purpose of the role is to provide underwriting and administrative support to the Dublin Underwriting team with the ultimate goal of ensuring that Fidelis' interests are properly managed and protected.

Key accountabilities
* Support the pre-underwriting process focusing on review of historical performance, policy wordings, and pricing adequacy based upon predefined underwriting rules and/or guidelines.
* Accountable for completeness of contents of underwriting package prior to handover to Underwriter for risk analysis/risk selection process.
* Provide management information to the EEA Deputy CUO to keep on top of portfolio exposure management and performance vs. plan.
* Support Underwriters by attending various broker and client meetings and provide detailed follow up action points after.
* Liaise with analytics department to ensure all necessary data is available for their review.
* Accountable for accuracy and completeness of data entry.
* Perform pre-analysis support for submissions, endorsements, and other incoming documents based upon predefined underwriting rules and/or guidelines.
* Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management.
* Support underwriting team with post bind sign off processes and procedures in a timely and accurate manner.
* Provide support to Operations teams on Underwriting queries that may arise post bind.
Skills & experience
* University degree or an equivalent insurance related qualification (i.e. ACII, CPCU).
* Minimum of 3 years' (re)insurance industry experience in either a broking or underwriting capacity
* Detailed knowledge of commercial insurance and regulatory requirements.
* Advanced competency in MS Office applications: Word, Outlook, Excel and Adobe Standard required.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively and professionally with diverse groups.
* Proven prioritisation and time management skills and ability to triage workload essential within a deadline intensive working environment.
* Advanced numerical ability combined with extreme attention to detail to ensure all risk statistics are accurately measured and reported.
* Must be able to self-lead effectively and work effectively both independently and with teams.
* Demonstrated ability to deliver and manage accurate thoughtful detail-oriented work within tight deadlines and/or while working extended workdays.
