We are hiring a Director of Nursing for a leading Nursing home in Carlow, Ireland.
Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the nursing home to ensure smooth, efficient, and person-centred care delivery.
Supervise and support nursing and care staff, ensuring high standards of professional practice.
Ensure the highest standards of clinical and personal care are maintained for all residents.
Monitor, evaluate, and improve care quality through audits, feedback, and continuous professional development.
Manage compliance with HIQA regulations and standards, ensuring policies and procedures reflect best practice.
Prepare for and coordinate HIQA inspections, implementing any recommendations effectively.
Promote and maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Ensure adherence to all health and safety legislation, conducting regular risk assessments and staff training.
Requirements Candidates must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
Submission of details regarding any previous experience in operating or managing a designated centre.
Provision of details and supporting documentary evidence of all relevant qualifications or accredited training.
Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, leadership, and organisational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proven sound decision-making capability.
Educational requirement: Level 8 qualification in Healthcare Management, or Level 9 with a management module, in accordance with the amended Health Act requirements *****).
A minimum of three years' experience at management level is required.
