Auto Electrician / Auto Electrical Technician We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician / Auto Electrical Technician to join our specialist vehicle build team.
This role involves working on bespoke and non-standard vehicle builds, where attention to detail, problem-solving, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Key Responsibilities Work under own initiative on specialist and bespoke vehicle builds Install, fit, and wire electrical and electronic components to suit custom vehicle specifications Interpret and work from wiring diagrams, schematics, and build documentation Design and adapt wiring solutions where standard looms are not available Diagnose, fault-find, and resolve electrical issues across 12V/24V systems Use diagnostic equipment to test, configure, and programme electrical and electronic components Ensure installations are neat, reliable, compliant, and fit for purpose Collaborate with fabrication, mechanical, and build teams as required Essential Requirements Qualified Automotive Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic Technician Proven experience in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, including bespoke installations Ability to read, understand, and create wiring diagrams Ability to self-manage, work to achieve reasonable project deliverable deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills Experience using diagnostic and programming equipment Desirable Experience Specialist vehicle builds, conversions, or coachbuilding Commercial vehicles, fleet builds, or custom bodywork Ancillary systems (lighting, cameras, beacons, inverters, PTOs, CAN systems, etc.) Relevant trade qualifications What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Long-term, stable role with opportunities for continued training and advancement.
