This role assists senior HSE staff in ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all personnel.Principal ResponsibilitiesAssist in the development and maintenance of HSE documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and site safety plans.Support the delivery and maintenance of HSE inductions for staff and contractors.Participate in site inspections and audits under the guidance of senior HSE personnel.Help monitor compliance with HSE procedures and escalate issues as needed.Maintain records of statutory inspections and HSE documentation.Assist in incident reporting and support investigations to identify root causes and lessons learned.Coordinate HSE performance reports for Portfolio, SAG, and Board-level submissions.Ensure accurate and timely data entry on the common data environment (ACC) used for projects.Assess PSDP and PSCS appointments for competence, validity, compliance, and ensure notification to the regulator.Develop and implement a HSE management system including procedures and working tools.General coordination of the daa Leadership Forum, incident and lessons learned reviews, and safety campaigns.Communicate HSE alerts, bulletins, incidents, and lessons learned across relevant teams.Maintain a tracker of statutory compliance requirements for all projects through the Control Point cycle.Align the HSE management system with ISO 45001 certification requirements.Act as the main point of contact for internal reporting of incidents to daa.Contribute to the preparation of HSE performance reports and dashboards.Stay informed about changes in HSE legislation and support communication of updates to relevant teams.Promote a positive safety culture by encouraging safe practices and reporting unsafe conditions.Ensuring all project folders have correct legal documentation – key part of how we communicate with regulatorWorking with the digital team to demonstrate our key performance indicatorsCoordinating meetings of leadership forum and other key meetings and associated administrative duties.QualificationsKnowledge, Qualifications, Experience & SkillsExperience3-5 years experience in a health and safety role, preferably within infrastructure or construction environments.Exposure to HSE Management Systems, Safe T Cert, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001.SkillsExcellent written communications and interpersonal skills are essential.Excellent organizational skills with a positive, can-do flexible work attitudeCompetent computer skills including MS Office, excel,Willingness to learn and develop within the HSE fieldFormal Education QualificationsMinimum Level 8 qualification in a HSE related disciplineEnivornmental qualification or training is an advantageWorking towards a degree or higher-level qualification in HSE is an advantage.Mandatory Practicing/Training/Compliance CertificationProfessional MembershipsGood Health & Safety awareness with Safepass accreditationBasic Fire, asbestos & confined space safety awareness.IOSH membership an advantageAdditional InformationWhat we offer you:Full time, permanentCompetitive remuneration and attractive range of benefitsPension23 days Annual leave, 2 Company days & 1 volunteering dayOpportunity to work on impactful and innovative projectsCareer development opportunities both in Ireland and globallyOpportunity to work with a diverse group of talented and collaborative colleaguesOur people share our Purpose and Values.
