AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. AIS keeps the AWS cloud running by supporting all data centers and associated hardware. We work on complex supply‑chain related problems and seek talented people to help.
You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. You’ll collaborate across AWS to deliver safety, security, and capacity at the lowest cost while working in an inclusive culture that encourages bold ideas.
Key job responsibilities
Produce clear and concise documentation such as detailed design specifications, drawings, white papers, diagrams, and reports.
Ensure implementation of the Global Architectural Basis of Design (BoD) by driving standardization in data center architectural designs.
Develop strategic solutions that meet or exceed quality and budget requirements, capturing requirements and translating company or customer goals into well‑defined, testable specifications and solutions.
Define project scope and provide technical support for information requests prior to and during innovation and research & development projects.
Work with regional vendors and manufacturers to specify the appropriate solutions.
Manage concurrent projects in multiple geographic regions.
Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.
Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineering or Architectural License.
Knowledge of building codes and regulations for the region.
Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
Working proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Bluebeam.
Proficiency in building codes, regulations, and standards including IBC, IFC, and NFPA.
