We're seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic OTS team, working on-site at a client location.
Job Description
The Senior Project Engineer will oversee the implementation of a portfolio of projects on-site, as part of the base capital projects team.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of working with multi-disciplinary engineering project management teams in the Pharma or Medtech sectors, taking end-to-end ownership of capital project execution, including laboratory projects.
Responsibilities:
* Manage project activities within the project team to ensure project objectives and deliverables are met.
* Agree project scope, including User Requirement Specifications (URSs), technical requirements, ATEX requirements etc.
* Maintain close working relationships with the Project Lead and all members of the project team.
* Produce and manage the project strategy to ensure agreed objectives can be met.
* Monitor activity progress for the project in line with project objectives, deliverables, and timelines, reporting potential delays and providing mitigation recommendations.
* Participate in utility systems design reviews and provide input into user requirements.
* Contribute to the Project Risk Log, ensuring all identified risks have been mitigated.
* Provide project reports on a regular basis for effective communication.
* Support operational activities and project phase reviews.
* Conduct project reviews with the project team and site management on a regular basis.
* Provide support for product costing and financial assessment of the project.
* Offer feedback and support for identification of training / development requirements of project team members.
* Support preparation of annual budget and project capital.
* Monitor project expenses in line with the approved project budget.
* Ensure smooth transfer of project knowledge and technology from engineering to production.
* Evaluate if all activities, equipment, and facilities comply with site GMP, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
Qualifications
* Degree qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline.
* Experience working in a highly regulated environment such as Pharma, medical device, or Semi-conductor.
* Experience with qualifying QC/MSAT Lab Equipment is critical.
* Experience with various utility systems, such as chillers, HVAC, purified water etc.
* Directing/supervising construction projects would be an advantage.
* Good level of project management skills.
* Effective communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
