Role Title:Senior Occupational Therapist Rehabilitation Services Job Reference Number:002336 Closing Date:Sunday, 17th May Purpose of the Role: With the ongoing development of rehabilitation and recovery services for St Jamess Hospital (SJH), an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior OT in rehabilitation services. The post holder will work closely with the Step-Down Rehabilitation Lead to establish and develop a comprehensive rehabilitation service for patients transferred from St Jamess Hospital to Care Choice Step Down facility, Parnell Road. Required: Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc Candidates for appointment must: Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU. And Have three years full-time (or equivalent) years post qualification clinical experience, of which at least one year must be in an acute general hospital. And Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, management, leadership and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office. And Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued. Annual Registration On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU. And Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Human Resources, St Jamess Hospital by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC). And Competent in the assessment, treatment and management of patients who require rehabilitation. Implements up to date evidence-based practice relevant to this specialty. Competent in facilitating complex discharges in a timely manner. Desired: Possess a postgraduate qualification relevant to rehabilitation medicine. Completion of clinical research/ audit and dissemination of findings relevant to this specialty.
