The Role
Reporting into senior operations leadership, the Production Manager will have full responsibility for managing and optimising production operations within a high-volume, quality-driven food manufacturing environment.
This is a senior, hands-on role, requiring strong floor presence, disciplined execution and a deep understanding of food production, hygiene, safety and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead day-to-day production operations to ensure output, efficiency, quality and food safety standards are consistently achieved
* Plan and manage production schedules in line with demand, labour availability and capacity
* Drive continuous improvement across processes, yields, waste reduction and line efficiency
* Lead, coach and develop production teams, supervisors and team leads, fostering a strong performance culture
* Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, health and safety and quality standards at all times
* Work closely with Technical, Quality, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to ensure seamless operations
* Support audits, inspections and customer visits from a production perspective
* Contribute to Cap-Ex, process optimisation and new product or line development projects
The Person
* Proven experience as a Production Manager (or equivalent) within
food manufacturing or food production
* Strong understanding of food safety systems, hygiene standards and regulated manufacturing environments
* Demonstrated ability to lead established production teams in a high-throughput setting
* Hands-on, visible leader with strong decision-making capability
* Commercially and operationally astute, with a focus on continuous improvement
* Calm, structured and resilient under pressure
