one of Ireland's leading Mechanical, Electrical & Maintenance Contracting Companies, are seeking a Junior Mechanical Estimator to join their team on site based in Dublin. The client in question is a leading multi-disciplined projects company who have gained significant experience across a wide range of business sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Data Centres, Healthcare, and large Commercial Projects. Responsibilities
1. Office-based position providing support to estimators by quantifying mechanical services from drawings to formulate comprehensive and compliant tender figures.
2. Execute quantity take-offs and populate pricing documents.
3. Distribute work packages to suppliers and subcontractors for pricing.
4. Maintain effective communication with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal team members.
5. Assist in evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and accuracy.
6. Support the Estimating Team in preparing documents for tender submissions.
7. Help maintain and update cost databases, ensuring all information remains current and precise.
Requirements
8. A relevant third-level qualification is preferred.
9. At least 1 year of post-qualification experience is desirable.
10. Familiarity with a contracting environment is advantageous.
11. Proactive and able to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
12. Strong attention to detail.
13. Proficient in Microsoft 365, with a particular emphasis on Excel.
14. Eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
15. Capable of multitasking in a dynamic office environment.
