Description:
* We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapy professional to join our team in County Louth. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment where you will provide specialized assessment, intervention, and management of swallowing and communication needs for children admitted to the acute service.
* The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on swallowing disorders and experience in managing paediatric caseloads. They will also have excellent clinical reasoning and team-working skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously within a busy acute care setting.
* This is a 35-hour week spread across Monday to Friday for a long-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the assessment and management of swallowing and communication difficulties in paediatric inpatients, working collaboratively with medical, nursing, and allied health colleagues to deliver safe, evidence-based care.
* They will also provide clinical supervision and support to junior SLTs and students as appropriate, contribute to service development initiatives within the paediatric and acute SLT service, and meet the required qualifications and experience outlined below.
Requirements:
* CORU registration is essential.
* Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, including paediatric dysphagia.
* Proven ability to work autonomously within a busy acute care setting.
* Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and team-working skills.
