The Logistics & Quality Control Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining productivity and quality levels within the quality control side of the department. Their primary goal is to maximise productivity within the Logistics department.
Main Responsibilities
* Receipt of all incoming goods, ensuring that repair jobs are booked on the same day.
* Managing the transfer of Batch work units between the returns department and Logistics.
* Receiving and dispatching configuration work to company HQ and raising and accepting Distribution Orders.
* Oversight of Microsoft CRM (customer relationship management) logistics assigned tasks.
The supervisor will also be responsible for:
* In-coming/outgoing consignments using internal computer systems, despatch books, and direct contact with the company or courier (DPD, An Post, Relay, DSV).
* Customer unknowns and courier returns.
* Prioritising work throughout the day to ensure logistics staff complete all duties by the end of shift.
* Ensuring that 100% of processed handsets on Awaiting Despatch status are packed and dispatched daily as per despatch schedule.
* Verifying the accuracy of all outgoing consignments.
* Managing the picking and packing of all customer consignments.
The Logistics & Quality Control Supervisor will also be responsible for carrying out stock takes, including weekly despatch materials, monthly VSP (Bailment devices) stock checks, and daily stocktake of configuration stock.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Quality testing of all repaired handsets.
* Managing reports relating to the Logistics department, including end-of-shift reporting and daily operational meeting updates on incoming and despatch.
* Maintaining QA Fails database and QC fails.
* Management of Warehouse 16 stock, Insurance BER's/ UTR's (devices not repairable).
* Management of all non-stock inventory into Fonfix (i.e stationary, padded envelopes).
The ideal candidate will possess:
* 1-2 years experience in a similar role.
* Degree qualified with background in Logistics/ Business Operations / Supply Chain etc.
* Knowledge and interest in Telecom Sector.
* Understanding of all end-to-end supply chain functions.
* Attention to detail, planning and organisational skills.
This role requires a highly organised individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritise their workload to meet deadlines.
