Position overview
Job title: Graduate Geotechnical Engineer M/F
Contract type: Permanent
Location options: Dublin, Cork, Castlebar, Limerick
Salary: Negotiable
Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Key Responsibilities:
1. Produce 2D geotechnical models and drawings using design software for slope stability, retaining walls, settlement assessments, etc.
2. Perform design calculations for foundations suitable to ground conditions.
3. Assist in preparing technical documents such as desk studies, ground investigation reports, geotechnical design reports, and specifications.
4. Design ground investigation campaigns, including procurement documentation and drawings.
5. Supervise field investigations and other geotechnical construction activities.
6. Schedule laboratory tests on samples and review results and borehole logs.
Candidate profile
Essential:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or related field (minimum 2.1)
* Interest in geotechnical engineering
* Effective communication skills with clients and colleagues
* Knowledge of Codes of Practice, Design Standards, and Health & Safety regulations
* Commitment to professional development
* Teamwork, problem-solving, organizational skills
Desirable:
* Membership of Engineers Ireland or relevant body
* Knowledge of engineering contracts, BIM, Eurocodes
* Experience in geotechnical works and a clean driving license
Additional information
Minimum education: 6th Engineers degree
Experience: Less than 2 years
