Job Title: Senior Site Engineer
The role of a Senior Site Engineer is a key position in the delivery team for a high-profile healthcare development project. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring the technical and structural integrity of the build, coordinating site engineering functions, and supporting the delivery of the project to the highest standards of quality, safety, and programme.
Key Responsibilities:
• Set out and level the site in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Oversee and review subcontractor works, ensuring compliance with design and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records, including site diaries, QA checklists, and as-builts.
• Liaise with the design team and resolve technical issues on site.
• Lead quality control, inspections, and material approvals.
• Monitor and support site safety practices in collaboration with the Health & Safety team.
• Assist in short-term programming and reporting on progress to senior management.
Requirements:
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 5+ years experience in a site engineering role, preferably with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.
• Previous experience on large-scale healthcare, education, or commercial projects an advantage.
• Proficient in using engineering instruments, AutoCAD, and setting-out tools.
• Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
