The Role
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Legal Secretary to join the firm’s Probate Department. This is a key support role within a busy and well‑structured team, working closely with solicitors on a range of private client and probate matters.
Key Responsibilities
Providing high‑quality secretarial and administrative support to solicitors in the Probate Department.
Preparing and drafting correspondence, wills, and probate documentation with accuracy and attention to detail.
Managing client files from instruction through to completion, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and deadlines.
Liaising with clients, solicitors, and third parties in a professional and courteous manner.
Managing diaries, arranging appointments, and assisting with billing and file management.
Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring all client information is handled securely and in line with GDPR requirements.
The Ideal Candidate
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Legal Secretary, ideally within Probate or Private Client.
Strong knowledge of probate processes and relevant documentation.
Excellent typing and IT skills, with proficiency in MS Office and case management systems.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Professional communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive client interactions.
