My client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant with a strong interest in developing their career in payroll administration. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and progress within a growing payroll function. This role will be working on site in Cork with hybrid working after probation period. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to the payroll team in processing both Irish and UK payrolls. Assist the payroll lead with the onboarding of new payrolls and the implementation of process improvements. Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather, verify, and prepare data for payroll processing, ensuring payments are accurate and completed on time. Perform reconciliations of payroll-related payments and employee schemes. Prepare and submit statutory returns and reports to relevant authorities. Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams. Support the payroll team in responding to employee and manager payroll queries promptly and professionally. Key Requirements: A strong desire to learn and develop new skills, with an interest in completing the IPASS qualification (or similar). Previous experience in Irish and/or UK payroll processing. Experience using payroll systems is required Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
