Day Service Facilitator Role
This role enables individuals to participate in a diverse range of chosen activities, encompassing education, employment, sports, and social pursuits. Key responsibilities include facilitating service-users in programmes, identifying opportunities for building natural support networks, awareness of New Directions services, and understanding alternative communication aids.
The ideal candidate will have a relevant third-level qualification in Social Care, Education, or Community Development, and at least three years' experience supporting adults with an intellectual disability.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Support service-users in various service-based programmes
* Build people's natural support networks and social roles
* Awareness of the New Directions Personal Support Services for People with Disabilities
* Understanding of alternative communication aids and assistive technology
Requirements:
Third-level qualification in Social Care, Education, or Community Development; minimum three years' experience supporting adults with an intellectual disability; excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
