Job Title: Business Development Manager - MICE and Leisure Groups
Reporting to: Group Sales & Marketing Director / General Manager
Scope:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving Group Sales and Revenue for Cork International Hotel, The Metropole Hotel, and relevant Trigon businesses. This role focuses on the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) market and Leisure Groups, involving proactive business development, key account management, and revenue strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development - "We Go All Out" | "Own It"
* Proactively source and secure new group business opportunities in MICE and leisure markets.
* Build relationships with event planners, corporate clients, and group organisers.
* Conduct site visits and presentations reflecting our guest-first approach.
* Develop proposals to convert leads, ensuring exceptional service.
* Represent Trigon at trade shows and networking events, promoting the brand.
Revenue Generation and Strategic Planning - "Keep It Simple" | "Own It"
* Collaborate with the Group Director of Sales & Marketing on strategies.
* Partner with Revenue Management to meet revenue targets.
* Use efficient workflows and reporting to monitor performance.
* Monitor market conditions and identify improvement opportunities.
Client Relationship Management - "Be Respectful" | "We Go All Out"
* Serve as the main contact for Leisure Group clients during sales.
* Utilize platforms like LinkedIn for professional connections and opportunities.
* Gather client feedback for continuous improvement.
* Build loyalty with repeat business and bespoke packages.
Collaboration and Cross-Property Coordination - "We're One Team"
* Work with marketing on campaigns highlighting hotel offerings.
* Coordinate cross-property packages for seamless client experiences.
* Share successes and support team development.
Performance Indicators
* Meet or exceed revenue targets across various segments.
* Maintain an active pipeline of group business.
* Ensure client retention through excellent service.
* Develop new business within MICE and Leisure segments.
* Conduct market reviews and provide recommendations.
* Utilize digital tools to streamline processes.

* Maintain accurate data management and training.
