HOTEL ACCOUTANTWe are a well-known hotel in Co. Wexford and are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced accountant or book-keeper to join our busy Finance Department on a permanent basis.This opportunity offers a variety of duties across the finance function from accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cash management, budgeting & forecasts to financial analysis. This is an ideal opportunity for someone preferably with hotel accounting experience looking to join a dynamic and progressive organisation.Objective of the RoleReporting to the directors and the Hotel General Manager, the Hotel Accountant will provide financial management, reporting and oversight to the Hotel Management teamKey Duties and Responsibilities· Record and maintain all day to day financial transactions of the hotel on the hotel's financial software· Manage day to day banking needs of the hotel· Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis for all staff· As a key member of the senior management team you will play a significant role in the production of the annual reports and financial planning· Create quarterly and annual reports to identify results, trends and financial forecasts.· Pro-active contribution to the overall property management and cost management.· Preparation of forecasts and annual budgets· Highlighting future opportunities and any business challenges· Safeguard the assets of the hotel with particular emphasis on the maintenance of sound internal control systems.Requirements:· You must be ambitious, confident and professional individual with strong communication, organisational, analytical and management skills.· The ideal candidate will demonstrate accounting experience, preferably in a hospitality, food & beverage environment or within the retail sector.· The ideal candidate will be a qualified or part qualified accountant.· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.· Proven experience in an accountancy role.RemunerationAn attractive remuneration & benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate.Job Type: Full-timePay: From €38,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company eventsStore discountWork Location: In person
