Current activities include investments in Private Life Sciences companies, Real Estate acquisitions, Public Equities and Public Debt as well as associated FX currency management.The RoleThis role is viewed as a key position within the group and will provide the opportunity to work with a tight-knit executive team that are renowned for their excellent business acumen, investment success, and professionalism.Reporting to the Managing Director (a Big 4 qualified ACA by background), the successful candidate will be responsible for ownership of all financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate reporting, robust financial control and risk management for company investments held in nine entities (Holding company investments and Property investments apart from one Trading company, with a low volume of transactions).Although, accounting and finance related matters will be the primary focus of the role, it is envisaged that the individual will take on increasing responsibilities over time.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation of quarterly management accountsFinancial oversight of investmentsPreparation of statutory consolidated and individual financial statementsLiaising with auditors and managing the external audit processComplianceAssisting with the timely filing of tax and company office returnsAssisting with company secretary activities for all group entitiesProcess Development and ImprovementsContinuously improving financial processesAssisting in implementing new financial processes and controlsManagement of third-party service providersDeveloping and managing relationships with bankers, tax and legal advisersOtherSupport ongoing finance and investment related projectsThe CandidateThe successful candidate will have all or most of the following attributes:Qualified Accountant from industry or practice, Big 4 or equivalent, with excellent academics, and several years PQEWilling to work on a broad range of tasks, from routine/administrative to complexStrong analytical ability, with excellent numerical skillsStrong focus on accuracy and attention to detailEffective communication skillsLocation & RemunerationThe role is office based in Dublin City with a strong remuneration package to attract the right individual.
