Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and help support the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on role involving the upkeep and preventative maintenance of plant equipment and building services. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with strong technical skills, committed to high standards of safety, quality, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and improve operational efficiency.
2. Maintain all plant equipment and building services, including chillers, compressors, air handling units, heating, water systems, and electrical infrastructure.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment faults quickly and effectively.
4. Ensure full compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
5. Support and promote health & safety initiatives, leading by example in line with best practice.
6. Accurately record all maintenance activities and report work completed.
7. Use a permit-to-work system or similar safety protocols for maintenance activities.
8. Monitor spare parts and consumables to support cost-effective inventory management.
9. Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities within the maintenance function.
Qualifications & Skills
Education & Training:
10. A third-level qualification in Engineering or a recognised Electrical/Mechanical trade certification.
Technical Skills:
11. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
12. Proven experience with high-volume manufacturing equipment—experience with injection moulding equipment is a plus.
13. Experience in facilities maintenance, including HVAC and utility services.
14. Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and safe systems of work.

17. Proactive, team-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
18. Trustworthy, reliable, and ethical in all dealings.
Experience Required
19. Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
20. Hands-on knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems in a production setting.
21. Exposure to TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) or similar maintenance methodologies is desirable.
