Job responsibilities
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised resident person-centred care plans within an agreed framework, in accordance with best practice, HIQA standards and grounded in recent evidence-based nursing research.
The successful candidate will provide holistic, person-centred care, promoting optimum independence and enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Develop and maintain close links with the residents, family/guardians
Be aware of and work closely with the various disciplines of the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal input for the resident.
Maintain appropriate and accurate written records and reports regarding resident care.
Foster a philosophy of care that reflects Moorehall Lodge Balbriggan's commitment to quality, using an evidenced based approach, in a safe environment maintaining the dignity of the resident.
Foster a model of care that is facilitating and enabling and mindful of the resident's right to autonomy and consent.
Act as an advocate for the residents and their families and provide information to empower them in decision making, goal setting and problem solving in order to optimise their contribution and facilitate their participation in community-based activities.
Qualifications / Experience
Nursing Qualifications (Essential)
Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Essential)
At least 3 years experience working as a staff Nurse in a nursing home (Desirable)
Candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.
Candidates must possess the requisite leadership, administrative knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
Eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland
