GP Nurse required at Student Health Centre, Mary Immaculate College, South Circular Road, Limerick V94 VN26

Key duties:
* Triage of students presenting at MIC Medical Centre.
* Immediate medical care to students presenting to MIC Medical Centre.
* Liaise with doctors regarding urgent cases which cannot wait for routine appointment.
* Carry out all first aid and dressings.
* Keep all medical supplies in stock and up to date.
* Ensure essential vaccines and medication are available and in date.
* Assist with phlebotomy, taking of swabs, and any other duties considered part of general nursing duties.
* Consultation with students in relation to contraceptive services and STI prevention.
* Recording of vital signs and basic medical information prior to student consultation with doctor.
* Review requests for medical certificates re: absence and review student requests for I-grades. Liaise with College Counsellors, Student Parent Service, and reception staff at MIC Medical Centre and Ashdown Medical Centre.
* Maintain registration with An Bord Altranais / Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland.
Requirements:
* Registered General Nurse / Midwife
* Practice nurse experience desirable
* Fluent English
