Overview
Artemis Human Capital are delighted to represent one of Irelands leading private equity–backed SaaS organisations in their search for an Interim Financial Controller. This role will support the CFO and finance team across a range of strategic initiatives and business-as-usual finance operations at this pivotal stage of their growth. The business is experiencing significant expansion, including active acquisitions and this opportunity has strong potential to extend beyond the initial 3 month term.
The Role
Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the wider finance team, you will oversee a small team and play a key role in strengthening financial processes and supporting growth initiatives. The focus of the role includes finance process improvement, year-end reporting, budgeting, audit readiness, and supporting M&A activity including integration of acquired entities, alongside other strategic finance projects.
Managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation of management accounts, board reporting, and investor reporting
Leading statutory accounts preparation and the annual audit process, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, including revenue recognition requirements
Strengthening internal controls, particularly around balance sheet integrity, deferred revenue, accrued income, capitalised commissions, and contract-related balances
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning aligned with investor expectations
Cashflow forecasting and working capital management
Producing financial analysis and KPI reporting, including recurring revenue metrics, retention, margins, customer acquisition metrics, and performance analysis
Supporting strategic decision-making, including pricing and commercial initiatives
Providing support on acquisitions, including due diligence, financial modelling, and post-acquisition integration
Driving improvements in finance processes, systems, and reporting to support scalability
Qualifications
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
Prior experience working within a private equity–backed organisation
Experience within a SaaS or subscription-based business model is highly desirable
Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly revenue recognition
Experience supporting acquisitions and integration activities
Experience with finance transformation, process improvement, or systems implementation
Benefits
Excellent salary circa €90k- €110K
