Connacht Cleaning have an exciting opportunity to join our management team. We are looking for an experienced Assistant Area Manager to organise and oversee the operations of multiple healthcare facilities across the Connacht Region. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to play a vital role in building strong customer relationships and manage employees across multiple sites.

We are leading specialists in providing commercial cleaning services nationwide, and we deliver our services to a variety of sectors including healthcare, educational, commercial, industrial, commercial kitchens, offices, hospitality and more.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee cleaning services in multiple healthcare facilities including site visits to ensure specifications are met and customer expectations are positively managed.
· Formulate business development strategies to ensure long-term success.
· Ensure compliance with set standards and objectives for the healthcare sector (e.g. HIQA)
· Optimise and oversee operations to ensure efficiency.
· Lead teams of Cleaning Operatives towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and operational guidelines.
· Deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions.
· Evaluate performance using key metrics and address issues to improve it.
· Report to Area Manager on progress and issues.
· Assist upper management in decisions for expansion or acquisition.
Essential Competencies:
· Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a management role.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Clear understanding of the cleaning industry (particularly within a healthcare setting) is desirable.
· Excellent organisation and leadership abilities.
· Excellent problem solving abilities.
An ideal Assistant Area Manager will hold the following skills and experiences:
· Delivery of a responsive service in a customer driven environment.
· Ability to be flexible with working hours and willingness to manage change within a diverse working environment.
· Ability to work under own initiative and demonstrate effective problem solving.
· Proven experience of managing people, ideally across multiple sites.
· Proven track record dealing with customers.
