Research Scientist Position: We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Research Scientist in the field of 2D materials. About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in computational materials science and solid-state physics. The successful candidate will work on atomistic modelling and machine-learning-based force-field development using density functional theory (DFT) simulations of pristine and defective TMDs, followed by the development and calibration of machine-learned interatomic potentials to enable fast and accurate simulation of complex, realistic material systems. The research will involve collaboration with experimental researchers on the project to incorporate realistic material parameters into atomistic simulations based on experimentally generated datasets. This work will contribute directly to developing next-generation models for nanoelectronic device design enabling accelerated development high-performance technologies based 2D materials..
