Gi Group is seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to join an established Engineering team in Mayo. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and managing engineering projects across two production sites, delivering new installations and continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead engineering projects in line with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards and internal quality requirements
* Manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required standards
* Drive and support health, safety, and environmental compliance across all project activities
* Develop and implement project plans, design specifications, and testing protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ)
* Apply change management processes and oversee associated documentation
* Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies
* Manage project budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation
* Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) during internal and external audits
* Collaborate effectively with internal departments, contractors, and third-party vendors
* Provide occasional out-of-hours support to meet project deadlines
Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
* Desirable:
* Project Management qualification or training
* 5+ years' experience in a similar role
* Background in construction, facility systems, utilities, or pharmaceutical processing
* Experience in commissioning
* Knowledge of pharmaceutical or medical device industries
