A leading construction company is seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to join their team on major construction projects in Galway. Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents
Manage subcontractor procurement, including pricing, negotiation, and appointment
Prepare and submit interim valuations, variations, and final accounts
Monitor project costs and track financial performance against budget
Support the commercial management of projects to ensure cost efficiency
Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery
Maintain accurate financial records, reports, and documentation
Identify and report on potential risks and opportunities
Requirements:
2–5 years' experience in a Quantity Surveying role, preferably within construction projects
Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline
Good understanding of construction contracts and cost control processes
Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Knowledge of Irish construction regulations and practices
Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland) is desirable
