We are seeking a talented and motivated Research Engineer to join our team in the Development department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in working within a high volume manufacturing environment, liaising with various departments and teams to effectively carry out their responsibilities.
The Research Engineer will receive formal and informal training in concept development, mechanical design, test method development and implementation, process definition and qualification. They will support the planning and specification of mechanical machine elements and machines for product manufacture, as well as the upgrading or modification of existing processes.
Key responsibilities include supporting Hollister specific manufacturing technologies, mechanical design, equipment modification, problem solving and providing support to Engineering Services, Manufacturing & Supply Chain Departments. Report writing and presenting skills are also essential.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years' experience in the medical device industry, preferably with a Level 8 Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering. Excellent PC skills, communication and organisational skills are required, as well as the ability to work on own initiative and respond to changing priorities.
