Daniel's Kitchen and Bar would love to speak to their next Assistant Manager. Set in the post card esq streets of Ballina, Co. Mayo, Daniel's is a dream that has taken years to come to life. From the décor, location, concept to the crockery each aspect has been carefully thought to make it the place to go in Ballina.

Recently opened but already established as Ballina's place to go for fresh, locally sourced, creative home-made food. We are focused on providing fresh and great quality food and drinks in a casual dining and bar environment, delivered with outstanding service.

We believe that people are our greatest asset and the source of our success, therefore we are looking to hire people with plenty of energy and enthusiasm, that pride themselves of providing the best experiences to our customers whilst enjoying themselves along the way.

We're on the look for a Senior Assistant Manager to help with the day-day operations for our all-day-dining and cocktails restaurant in the heart of Ballina.Totalling 65 covers Daniel's is a bustling centre of fun, drinks, and excellent fresh food.

As a Senior Assistant Manager, you will be overseeing and supporting the General Manager in the restaurant providing knowledge, ability and leading as an all-rounder across the floor and bar operations.

We're looking for someone with a real passion in the food and drink world, with previous and proven experience within the catering/restaurant environment. An enthusiastic individual that is able to engage with everyone, bringing ideas to the table to enhance the current offerings whilst maintaining standards set by the restaurant.

You must be available to work evenings, weekend and bank Holidays.

Job Description

Standard Management:

➢ Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and Health & Safety legislation/guidelines

➢ Coordinate all operational standards including environmental standards, organisation, administration and security

➢ Overseeing stock levels

➢ Handling customer enquiries and complaints

➢ Preparing and presenting staffing/sales reports

➢ Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities and sales representatives

➢ Making improvements to the running of the business and development of the pub

Staffing and Personnel functions:

➢ Be a leader with a positive attitude and a role model to the team. Uphold company's values, motivate and inspire individuals throughout the business

➢ Encourage team work and communicate effectively with staff, assistant managers and company directors / business partners

➢ Recruiting, training and supervising staff as well as producing staff rotas

➢ Actively seek out and develop talent from within and outside the organisation

➢ Monitor payroll information ensuring accuracy and weekly delivery of the payroll

➢ Record holidays, sickness, timekeeping and absenteeism

Sales & Business Development

➢ Agreeing and managing sales forecast and cost budgets

➢ Develop, coordinate and drive your team to promote the business. Focus on deliver the best customer service exceeding customer expectations with excellent product knowledge seeking the development of sales opportunities

➢ Understanding of the business, it's environment, potential, performance and its competitive advantage

➢ Implement and maintain all promotional activities to the best of your ability

Stock control & Expenses:

➢ Coordinate departmental control, administration, monitoring and reporting

➢ Produce monthly reports for each department

➢ Deliver record of all food and bar expenses

➢ Authorise order and payments of supplies

Self-Management

➢ Take full responsibility and ownership of decisions

➢ Use information to improve performance

➢ Complete your KPIs as delegated by business needs/administrator

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Additional pay:

Experience Required:

* Restaurant management: 5 years (preferred)
* Bar management: 5 years (preferred)
* Management: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

* Driving Licence (preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €15.00-€17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

* Ballina, CO. Mayo: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience:

* Restaurant management: 5 years (required)

* Ireland (required)
