Responsibilities
* Assure that the best possible rehabilitation care is provided in accordance with HSE and HIQA regulations.
* Oversee and administer the rehabilitation centre's new HSE contract, ensuring compliance with all related policies and procedures.
* Guide and support nursing and care personnel while promoting a culture of ongoing development and progress.
* Ensure a person-centred approach by supervising the creation and implementation of customised rehabilitation care programmes.
* Contribute to the maintenance of high-quality rehabilitation services by assisting with training and personnel levels.
* Collaborate with families, multidisciplinary teams, and external stakeholders to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
* A registered general nurse (RGN) currently registered with the NMBI.
* At least five years of experience after registration, with two or more years in a management or leadership position in a nursing home, rehabilitation centre, or similar healthcare environment.
* Strong knowledge of relevant laws, HSE regulations, and HIQA standards.
* Prior contract management experience, especially with the HSE, is desirable.
* Familiarity with rehabilitation concepts and procedures is advantageous.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
* Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
