About the RoleThe Event Coordinator will support the effective coordination and delivery of upcoming and scheduled events across campus. A flexible approach is required as role may involve some evening and weekend work.Key Responsibilities1. Support the Head of Event Delivery in the overall coordination, reporting and scheduling of key events such as the Dublin Horse Show; ensuring events goals and objectives are met within agreed timeframes, scope, and resource requirements.2. Support the setup and delivery of small bookings such as events booked in Members Club and also the RDS Library. 3. Manage all elements of a client booking from Sales stage through planning and delivery, ensuring a high level of customer service and professionalism. 4. Develop and maintain effective and sustainable relationships with external third-party suppliers, internal customers, and stakeholders.5. Creation of support material to facilitate events such as supplier contracts and insurance. 6. Assist with creation of roster sheets for the RDS Event Staff in line with the Events calendar and in compliance with rest break legislation. 7. Schedule, monitor, and update events via EMBS booking system. 8. Identify and introduce efficiencies to improve standard operating procedures for the effective and timely delivery of successful events. 9. Assist with additional duties and requests as directed by Senior Events Managers, Head of Event Delivery, or Campus Director. Person SpecificationPersonal AttributesConfident, credible and motivated person with the proven ability to work accurately under pressure to tight deadlines while maintain attention to detail;Proven ability to complete tasks in a detail-orientated, methodical and organised manner to agreed procedures;People orientated person, tactful and diplomatic enabling him/her to resolve difficult situations as they arise; ExperiencePrevious experience in events industry or similar role; Experience and proficiency using databases and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) essential; Knowledge of Event Management Industry, or an interest in the area, would be advantageous;Qualifications Qualification in Events or Business administration Key Skills Excellent communication skills both written and oral; Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies;· Excellent organisational, time management, and administration skills;· Strong analytical and problem solving skills; Application Process and Closing DateIf you are interested in applying for this position, please email your CV to with the subject line "Events Coordinator".
