What's the role?
We are seeking a Business Developer capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-performance, international environment.
In this role, you will manage a portfolio of key accounts, including Specifiers, critical to the Hilti Pharma, Data Centre, and Transmission & Distribution (T&D) sectors. Your responsibilities include developing and executing strategies to promote Hilti solutions and collaborating with internal teams on projects.
What does the role involve?
As a Business Developer in the Industry segment, your main goal is to build and expand relationships with complex clients in the Irish market, using a Systematic Account Development approach to address their specific needs.
You will report to the Technical Director and work with external stakeholders to deepen understanding of segment dynamics, pipelines, and engineering requirements, especially in Pharma, Data Centre, and T&D sectors.
Collaborating with the Sales Team, Segment Managers, Engineering, PMO, and Fieldwire teams, you will drive profitable growth. You will serve as the segment expert in Ireland, leveraging your market knowledge and working closely with the PMO and Construction Project Managers during project design phases. Additionally, you will conduct training sessions for internal and external stakeholders and support the development of segment strategies and go-to-market plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Account Development: Manage and develop key accounts through relationship management, project specification, and sales growth.
2. Strategic Planning: Lead account strategies and collaborate on project pipelines to increase market share.
3. Market Intelligence: Provide insights to refine segment strategies.
4. Communication: Maintain effective communication within the team and with clients.
5. Customer Engagement: Support sales activities, prepare presentations, and negotiate with clients.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with global and local teams on opportunities and projects.
7. Training and Brand Initiatives: Organize training sessions and implement brand awareness activities.
8. Strategic Collaboration: Coordinate with regional and global managers on segment strategies.
What you need is:
* Relevant engineering or technical background with strong commercial skills.
* Proactive, results-oriented, and innovative mindset.
* Experience leading cross-functional teams in matrix environments.
* Excellent relationship, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Resilience, self-motivation, and agility in complex markets.
* Ability to work independently with learning agility.
* Fluency in English and legal right to work in Ireland.
