Job Description
As part of the EMEA Project Engineering team, you will be involved in the design of customer projects. This will involve the control and automation of Tomra equipment, machine peripherals, and bespoke project-related items. Working alongside colleagues in Sales, Project Management, and Service, you will be involved in project execution from concept design through to commissioning.
Role And Responsibilities
* Project scoping and cost estimations of bespoke solutions for customer projects during the quotation stage.
* Evaluation of customer specifications/requirements and ensuring Tomra compliance.
* The development of project-specific PLC, HMI, and SCADA controls.
* The development of project-specific electrical schematics.
* The development of project-specific FDSs.
* Visiting customer sites for commissioning or to evaluate product performance and assess site-specific issues.
* Support of Sales, Service, and Operations as required.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering.
* Proficient in PLC programming with essential tools: Rockwell’s RS Studio, FTME, FTSE; Siemens TIA Portal, Simatic Manager, and WinCC.
* Excellent knowledge of motor control, especially with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
* Knowledge of electrical cabinet design, specification, and component selection.
* Knowledge of EPLAN is a plus.
* CMSE or equivalent certification is a plus.
* 5+ years of industry experience in a design-related role. Experience in the food industry is beneficial but not essential.
* Attention to detail and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently with limited supervision.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proven problem-solving skills.
