The Opportunity I'm working with a highly successful and growing firm of accountants based in central Belfast.
The culture is relaxed, friendly and collaborative - and the structure is flat, so everyone works closely together without unnecessary hierarchy.
The firm offers a full-service approach across accounts, tax, advisory and business support, and they're proud of the long-standing relationships they've built with clients of all sizes.
They're now looking to appoint an Assistant Manager - someone who enjoys working with clients, thrives in a close-knit team and is confident managing their own portfolio while supporting junior staff.
The role is primarily accounts-focused (around 90%), with occasional audit assignments making up the remainder.
What you will be doing: Managing a varied portfolio of clients across year-end accounts, tax, VAT and bookkeeping Acting as a key point of contact, delivering clear, helpful advice to clients Reviewing work prepared by junior members of staff and ensuring quality control Assisting with workflow management and supporting the wider team Spotting opportunities to add value or introduce wider advisory services Contributing to a positive, supportive team environment What you need: ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist with solid experience in practice Strong technical grounding across accounts and tax A real interest in client relationships and delivering great service The ability to support and guide junior colleagues Comfortable juggling multiple deadlines and priorities A team-first attitude and excellent communication skills What you will get in return: A genuinely friendly and open team culture No red tape or layers of sign-off - you will work directly with experienced decision makers Variety and progression across all aspects of general practice Enhanced holidays, including Christmas closure (fully paid) Generous, competitive salary based on experience What's the next step?
