Project Cost Manager Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Cost Manager to join our team in Cork, Ireland. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for managing project costs, preparing budgets, evaluating tenders, and overseeing contracts and expenditures.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and project evaluations to ensure successful project delivery.
* Analyze tenders and manage procurement processes to achieve best value for clients.
* Oversee contracts and ensure compliance with agreed terms, ensuring timely and within-budget project completion.
* Monitor project progress, manage variations, and control costs to maintain financial stability.
* Provide regular financial reports to stakeholders, showcasing your ability to communicate complex data effectively.
* Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality projects that meet their needs and expectations.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* At least 2 years of relevant experience in construction or consultancy, with a proven track record of delivering results.
* Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with Irish construction regulations is an advantage, but not essential.
