Management Accountant
Position Overview:
The Management Accountant will provide comprehensive financial support to the Operations Director, Chief Financial Officer, and Accounts Team. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of financial reporting and systems across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with departmental heads and senior management to effectively disseminate and interpret financial information.
* Manage and uphold the integrity of the organisation's accounting systems, while contributing to their ongoing development and enhancement.
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and the compilation of detailed financial reports for review by the senior management team.
* Contribute to the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust financial systems, controls, and policies.
* Perform detailed analysis of costs and revenues to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data.
* Ensure full compliance with all Revenue and statutory requirements, including VAT, RCT, and premium taxes.
* Support the coordination and completion of the annual external audit process.
* Develop and maintain specialist knowledge in construction finance, providing expert guidance and assistance as required.
* Provide support to the payroll function to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Experience and Qualifications:
* A minimum of 3 to 5 years' professional accountancy experience, preferably within the construction sector.
* A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
* High level of proficiency in IT, including advanced MS Excel skills and experience with accounting software.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a proven capacity to prioritise and meet deadlines.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
* A collaborative team player, capable of working independently and demonstrating sound professional judgement.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
