We are seeking an experienced Residential Service Manager / Person in Charge (PIC) to lead the operational delivery of a HIQA-registered residential service in Galway, supporting people with disabilities and Acquired Brain Injury.
This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the day-to-day management, quality, safety and compliance of a designated centre, ensuring services are delivered in line with legislation, best practice and person-centred principles.
The Role
1. Overall management of a designated residential service as Person in Charge
2. Ensure full compliance with HIQA regulations and safeguarding legislation
3. Lead, support and develop a multidisciplinary staff team
4. Manage operational planning, risk, quality and service improvement
5. Liaise with families, stakeholders, regulators and senior management
6. Oversee resources including staffing, finance, buildings and equipment
7. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality and inclusion
Requirements
8. An appropriate third level qualification or equivalent (NFQ8) in Health and Social Care.
9. Health and Social Care Managers Qualification.
10. A minimum of 3 years' experience in management or supervisory role in a HIQA-registered services
11. Strong people management and leadership skills
12. Full driving licence (essential)
13. Experience in Acquired Brain Injury, disability or Mental Health services is an advantage
14. Excellent organisational, communication and decision-making skills
15. Flexibility, including participation in an on-call rota
