Job Title: Service Engineer
Location: Cork, Ireland
Salary: €38,000 - €42,000 + Company Van

Working within a small service engineering department, this role offers the opportunity for a Service Engineer to join a family run business who work with retailers, commercial outlets and businesses within 1 hour radius of Cork to provide reliable and honest engineering support across their appliances.
Service Engineer’s Key Responsibilities:
Carry out installation, servicing, and preventative maintenance of commercial appliances at customer sites, ensuring all equipment operates to manufacturer and safety standards
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults efficiently, minimising downtime and delivering a high standard of first-time fixes
Provide on-site technical support and basic user training to customers, ensuring correct operation and care of equipment
Maintain accurate service records, job reports, and parts usage, ensuring clear communication with the Technical Maintenance Manager and wider team
Deliver excellent customer service at all times, building strong relationships with clients and representing the business professionally during site visits
Skills & Experience Required as a Service Engineer:
Mechanically and/or electrically minded, ideally with a relevant qualification or hands-on experience in a field service or maintenance role
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose faults and work independently in a customer-facing environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach and professional manner
Motivated, reliable, and willing to learn, with a proactive attitude towards training and personal development
Full clean driving licence and fluent English, with flexibility to work occasional weekends (1 in 3 rota)
