Job Description

Maintaining a safe and efficient building environment is crucial to the success of our organization. As a Facilities and Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring all office maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner, adhering to health and safety regulations.

This role requires a high degree of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a healthy and safe workplace. You will work closely with various teams to ensure that all facilities needs are met and that any issues are addressed promptly.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in maintenance management, conflict resolution, and team collaboration. You will also contribute to the development of a positive and productive work environment.



Key Responsibilities:



Facilities Management


The following key responsibilities are critical to the success of this role:



* Ensure that all facilities around the building, including parking, lighting, and external cleaning, are well-maintained and up-to-date.

* Liaise with the Health and Wellbeing clinic manager to maintain a continuous relationship and ensure that all facilities needs are met.

* Collaborate with the IT Operations Manager to address any technical issues, comms room problems, generator and UPS maintenance, or other relevant items that may affect IT systems.

* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, fire regulations, and report any necessary issues to the H&S Officer.

* Meet monthly with the security account manager to discuss any issues and ensure that they are addressed.

* Tender for maintenance contracts on an annual basis, working with the Procurement team where necessary to ensure that we are getting the best service and price.





Skills and Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you will need:



* A high school diploma or equivalent qualification.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Able to work independently and as part of a team.

* Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.

* Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods.

* Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools.
